Family Medicine Midwest COVID–19 Protocol

There are no current COVID-19 restrictions at the University of Minnesota, however, the Family Medicine Midwest Foundation highly ENCOURAGES that all attendees either be vaccinated against COVID-19 OR have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to attending.

Masks are not required onsite but will be available to attendees who feel comfortable wearing them. Please follow CDC guidelines on masking if you are sick, have been exposed, or are at high risk.

FMM has also adopted a self-identifying color coded badge system that will allow attendees to notify each other about their level of comfort with social interactions.  This will be available at the FMM registration desk.

While vaccinations, observance of safety protocols, and exercise of personal discipline may reduce risk, however, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 does remain in connection with any public gathering.

FMM cannot guarantee that its participants, exhibitors, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. Considering the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in FMM live events.

By attending any live FMM event, you attest that you do not fall into any of the following categories:
- Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath, among others.

- Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or

- Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

Should you be unable to attend due to a positive COVID test and provide proof of test results, your registration fee will be refunded.  Email FMM Registration to submit your request to cancel and provide proof of positive test.
