FMM Scholars Collaborative
Led by Jake Prunuske, MD

Scholarship is challenging for many residency programs, especially those that are smaller, rural, or located outside of a tertiary care center. For all programs, there is a proposed new RRC requirement that residency programs must use regional learning collaboratives to create and share scholarly activity.

For those involved with medical student education and transitions from medical school to residency, with USMLE Step 1 pass/fail, increasing emphasis may be placed on student scholarship, even within family medicine. We also know medical student engagement with family physicians doing research can help promote student choice of family medicine.
